Innie and Outtie respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this store, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and details of the products you purchase. When you join our waitlist or subscribe to emails we collect your name and email address. When you contact us we keep a record of that correspondence.

Payment details are processed securely by Shopify Payments and the payment providers shown at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.

Like most online stores, we also collect some information automatically when you browse, including your device type, browser, pages viewed and general location, through cookies and similar technologies described below.

How we use your information

We use your information to process and deliver your orders, send order confirmations and tracking updates, respond to your questions, improve our store and product range, and, where you have opted in, send you marketing emails about new products, restocks and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies and analytics

This store uses cookies to keep your cart working and to help us understand how people use the site. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and site performance, and the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. These tools collect information such as pages visited and actions taken on the store. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalisation through your Google and Meta account settings.

Who we share information with

We share your information only with the services needed to run this store. That includes Shopify, which hosts our store, our payment providers, our shipping carriers who receive your name and delivery address to get your order to you, our email platform for sending order and marketing emails, and Google and Meta for the analytics and advertising described above. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Some of these providers store information on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

International customers

If you order from the United States, your information is collected and handled by us in Australia as described in this policy, and shared with carriers and providers as needed to deliver your order.

How long we keep information

We keep order records for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or de-identified.

Security

Our store runs on Shopify, which maintains industry standard security including encryption of data in transit. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email. To make a request, email support@innie-outie.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Children

This store is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date below.
